WE BELIEVE IN THE HUMAN HAND.
Sonant was founded in 2019 by a small crew of engineers, session musicians, and stubborn purists who'd grown tired of plastic-sounding samples. We make the tools we wanted to use ourselves — recorded in the rooms that shaped American music, played by the people who lived in them.
WHERE WE WORK
Our packs are tracked in active commercial studios from Nashville's Music Row to a converted Brooklyn church. Every room has a personality. We don't try to neutralize it — we let it print onto the recording.
WHO PLAYS
Every musician on a Sonant session is credited, paid a session rate, and pays a back-end royalty on every pack sold featuring their playing. The economy of sample production should not be extractive.
